Caixa IU Card | Special Financing Conditions
The CGD card is for all students.
Over the years, Caixa has established protocols with Higher Education Institutions, through which it grants financial benefits to the entire academic population and is responsible for issuing Identification Cards, after the respective request from the students and after confirmation of enrolment by the School itself.
ISMAT has a protocol with Caixa, which offers you two options:
- Option 1: Simple ID card;
- Option 2*: ID card associated with a Caixa bank account with various associated advantages.
* It is not compulsory to open an account or use an ATM card.

CGD student card for international students
As international students don't have a national identity card or a mobile key, they can only apply for a student card in
person. Students must go to a CGD branch and be accompanied by: - Passport - Proof of residence- Proof of student status at the University/Institute.
Students from each institution should preferably go to the following branches:
- Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa - Branches in Campo Grande, Alvalade or CGD headquarters
- Universidade Lusófona do Porto - Amial, Foz do Douro, Lordelo or Boavista branches
- Ismat - Portimão or Penha branches
- ISLA Santarém - Santarém branch;
- IPLUSO - Expo Sul branch;
- ISLA Gaia - Vila Nova Gaia branch;
- ISDOM - Marinha Grande branch.
