ISMAT Students Transform La Moda Showcase with Fashion Design Creations

Objetivos de Desenvoltimento Sustentável (ODS)

ISMAT project brings the talent of Fashion and Textile Design students to La Moda, with innovative creations exhibited weekly until 17 February

The talent and creativity of ISMAT's 3rd year Fashion and Textile Design and Production students is on show at La Moda in Portimão. The shop window has been transformed through a project developed throughout the semester, giving the students a unique opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real context.

The initiative arose from a special invitation from the shop's owner, Rita Mira, and was supervised by Professor Gisele Nepomuceno. The first intervention was given by student Joana Jesus, who presented a Sevillian costume, accompanied by the sketch that inspired the creation. The space was also enriched with elements representative of the fashion world, such as threads, magazines and materials used in the creative process, emphasising the importance of craftsmanship in the area.

Until 17 February, the showcase will be renewed every week with new pieces created by the students on the course. The next to present their work will be Andra Binzari and Artemisa Silva, who promise to bring new approaches and creativity to the La Moda showcase. The community is invited to visit the shop and follow this celebration of fashion design, where the talent and innovation of future designers comes to life.
